About Md. Rafiqul Alam

Academic Career:

Md. Rafiqul Alam obtained Bachelor of Science degree with 1^st Class in the year of 2001 from the University of North Bengal. After that he obtained Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B.L.I.Sc.) and Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) degree both with 1^st Class from the same University. He obtained M.Phil. degree in Library and Information Science in the year of 2008. Besides these professional degrees he also obtained M.A. degree in Education. He also cleared UGC-NET and WB-SET exam.

Professional Career: He started his professional career as Librarian at P.D. Women’s College, Jalpaiguri through the merit panel of West Bengal College Service Commission in the year of 2010. Now he is serving as Librarian (Sr. Scale) at Malda College, Malda. He has professional experience of more than eleven years in the field of Library and Information Science.

He also acts as an academic counsellor and PG Dissertation Guide for the Subject Library & Information Science under Netaji Subhas Open University since 2013.

His area of interest: Website creation and designing in open and free platform, Video capturing, editing and uploading for academic purpose, use of open source software for academic purpose etc.

He is a life member of Bengal Library Association and Indian Library Association.
